UDBB2124/UDAA2114 BIOCHEMISTRY- Mini Food Fair assignment

Under assistants and instructions from lecturer Dr Wong Wey Lim, BT (Biotechnology) and AG (Agriculture) students from University Tunku Abdul Rahman has conducted a Biochemistry  Mini Food Fair at UTAR Block D-E corridor dated on 23 March 2015 from 9.30AM to 1PM.


The objectives of this assignment is to search for any Traditional food/ recipe (source can come from movie, book, family members, oral) or combination of food, which are believed to improve food texture, flavour or aroma of the food and/or to improve human health.





Group 1 Corn Soy Agar

The sweet potatoes+carrot balls was optional to brush with some honey.

The last step is to add some celery leaf on top as decorations to their Jettucina Polpette with Creamy Gusto!



Group 6 Popiah

Group 6's popiah made up of yam (instead of  sengkuang), carrot, potatoes, anion, and also chicken breast meat (usually not found in typical popiah)!

Group 6's members were explaining the nutritional values of their popiah to the Dr Wong, the lecturer of the subject Biochemistry.

Group 7's was ready to start selling their overnight flavoured oatmeal with fruits toppings!
Mango is always the most popular fruits among all.
A simple, cold, creamy oatmeal is a good alternative for breakfast.

Group 8's Kuih bahulu and drinks were made from freshly-plucked Nutmeg.

Group 9's Fruity Ice Sticks make up of freshly blended fruits, little sugar and water. 




Group 10 Tortilla

Group 11 Oat Banana Muffiin

Icing sugars as topping enhances the flavor of muffin, and little cute love-shaped decorations at the center attracted my eyeballs.



Group 12 ITZ Me Tang Yuan

The ONLY group provide customers for food testing.

There were others cupcakes with different toppings as well, such as peach and kiwi.
